The False shepherd (Advice and Warnings)

The False Prophet

Revelation 13:14 “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.“

Truth provided:

In the book of Revelation we find how the Apostle John, known as the beloved disciple of Jesus is revealing to us the “False Prophet” in Revelation 13:11-18. Before we begin, we must understand that the false prophet is not just a man or the King James Bible would have said so like it did for the Antichrist, the pope. For proof we see Revelation 13:18 “…for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.”

Anyone can become a false prophet like all those that we see on television, the internet, those that we hear talking on the radio, those that are on the street corners preaching and even those passing out tracts from these so called Ministries of God like wayofthemasterradio.com, Jack Van Impe, Sermonjams.com, Endtime Ministries, TBN, 700 Club, Church Channel and much more.

I have studied these Ministries for several years before coming into the present truth. They are very crafty with their words and their methods of  helping satan push his false gospel.  The false prophet is very good at preaching smooth things to those so called Christians that love hearing things that are only pleasing to the flesh and there are a few who preach eternal hell damnation which is a lie. It says in the book of (Isaiah 30:10) “Which say… Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits.” There are many ministries like this and through the power of the Godhead we will bring light on this subject and expose them for who they all really are and how they makeup the “False Prophet”.

Anyone that wants to know who the false prophet is must understand that whoever gives into seducing spirits and doctrines of devils will be preaching for satan and not for God. The false prophet is a religious body of believers that professes to be followers of Christ and teach others the same thing they are being taught. This is a false prophet where they don’t keep the Commandments of God, they don’t preach truth and anything they do preach, not all of it comes to pass. A true prophet must be 100% accurate.

These lost Christians are willingly and ignorantly serving and do the work of satan. Those that make up the false prophet have to appear to be the true Christians or no one will follow them and they will not be able to deceive the world. The truth is that inwardly they are raving wolves and are “filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God (John 14:15 “if you love me keep my commandments”), despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful and all this is found in the false prophet and those that follow. (Romans 1:29-31)

Remember, Satan was an angel of light and never lost his beauty. “He still appears as an angel of light, and he makes it evident that he is acquainted with the Scriptures, and understands the import of what is written.” – The Desire of Ages 1898. Satan is not some ugly monster as the world claims he is. If he was an ugly monster, he would deceive NO ONE!!! His children resemble him perfectly outwardly and inwardly. They are appealing to the eye and their speech is captivating but they are filled with dead bones. Matthew 23:27 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men’s] bones, and of all uncleanness.”

God’s elect are humble servants and are not of the world nor take pleasure in worldly gain. Once you come into the love of the truth and really start to walk with Jesus, you will then have a better understanding and discernment about the false Christianity that is of the world and how these make up the body of the false prophet. There are many false prophets, for it is written in the book of Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” They all make up the false prophet because they are ALL members of the false prophet. They all have a different work to do or function.

For instance, false prophet Benny Hinn and his counterpart Rod Parsley, satan has given them power to heal. These are false miracles and if someone truly does get healed by Mr. Benny Hinn or Mr.Rod Parsley, all one has to do is understand that satan can cause people to get sick. If satan can cause someone to get sick then he can also make them better by him simply removing his hand that caused them to be ill. In return, it will appear to make these two men healers and look like true Christians that did all this in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 7:22-23 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Note:“Benny Hinn goes so far to say that Jesus is actually going to appear physically at one of his meetings. What else did Jesus say in Mathhew 24:26? He said, “…Wherefore if they shall say unto you… behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not” Yet again, Benny Hinn fails to mention this prophetic fact. Jesus made two prophetic statements 2000 years ago, and we see here that Benny Hinn is doing exactly as Jesus Christ said the false prophets of today would do!” – RemnantofGod.org

Next you have, false prophet Mr. Jack Van Impe. He preaches the end times to confuse those that are looking for prophesy and like his counterpart John Hagee. Their preaching is very sly and pleasing to Christians that don’t like to read for themselves and are easily tricked. I know because I was there once, however it did not work because I kept search and fighting for truth. Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Then we have, false prophet Mr. Pat Robertson. He is more than likely a Jesuit that was placed there by the Vatican or the black pope. Mr. Robertson has been leading the charge in the last days final movement back to Romanism. From what I can see, he has been the visible head of the false prophet Protestant movement to deceive the world. He preaches to stir up a false Christ to the people in the world to develop a bad spirit within. He is hate just like his father satan. He has no love for people. Look at the recent Haiti disaster comments that he made.

Then you have, false prophetesses Ms. Joyce Meyer. She is all about prosperity preaching and making it good in the world like her counterpart Ms. Paula White.

Next we have, false prophet Mr. Joel Osteen from Houston Texas. He is in control of the world’s biggest Mega Church. He also preaches things that are smooth and very pleasing to the ear and to the flesh. Satan has made him the head of prosperity preaching on how to have a better worldly life.

Finally, we have false prophets Mr. Todd Friel, Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort. These three work together to help those in the world become street preachers for the enemy of souls satan. This pushes the movement of the false prophet to grow even more. They speak very well and are very crafty with leading people into teaching the world how to evangelize for satan. Note: this is the Kirk Cameron from the television show “Growing Pains” that started in the mid 80’s and ended in the early 90’s. My heart hurts for all three of these men because  it does appears to me that they are really being deceived.

All of you better REPENT or you may find yourself reaping Revelation 16

and for sure tasting “the second death”.

Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon (satan), and out of the mouth of the beast (Rome and her daughters), and out of the mouth of the false prophet (Protestantism). The frog’s weapon is the tongue and the false prophet’s weapon is their tongue. The false prophet catches those that dwell on the earth with their captivating speech. They draw these poor souls into their snares only be consumed and drunk with their false doctrine, just as their counterpart mother Rome has taught them.

“False Prophet Apostate Fallen Protestantism at its Best”

Warning!!!

if you are not strongly grounded in the present truth please don’t watch!!! Trinity is False and Hell Fire is not forever. This is new teaching by the false prophet Protestants where they are mixing the Godhead and the Trinity now.

Hell – Matthew 10:28

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:

but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Hell and Death – Revelation20:14

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

God will have a clean Universe again. Death and hell will be destroyed.

Please also understand that faith alone in Christ will not

get you to heaven.

James 2:24

“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and

not by faith only.”

Truth is Truth!!!

REVIEW:

So, we can learn a few things from all this. First, the false prophet is religious and is a body of false teachers who are working together as one entity.  They all have different functions and different names but are united under Protestantism. They can preach about whatever they want, as long as they preach trinity, SUNday worship and that they don’t preach against mother Rome and their god the pope. Their mission is to lead the world into worshiping the Antichrist the false god, the pope on his counterfeit day of worship pagan SUNday. This is the day you are to worship this god. For the most part, they are doing this ignorantly and for some willingly. Some do this willingly because of the 501c3 or because they are Jesuits that have been teaching in the Protestant pulpits since the discovery of America.

The false prophet will have many followers because his job is to deceive the WORLD and the false prophet is able to accomplish this by preaching smooth things that are pleasing to the flesh, preaching false prophecies and performing miracles rather than the truth which would lead all to God.

One thing is for certain, satan is gathering his elect under the banner of the false Christian trinity doctrine and the false Sabbath SUNday literal SUN worship lie that is contrary to God’s Law. This is the final test of loyalty to the God of Heaven and it is over the Sabbath which is the day of Worship. Those in the past that where ignorant of this truth will be judged according to the light they have received. Acts17:30-31 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead.”

If they choose to stay worshiping on SUNday they will reap Revelation 16 because they will have the Mark of the Beast. Revelation 16:8 “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.” They wanted to continue to worship on the day of the SUN-day God gives it to them and says here reap your god.

Remember, Satan demands worship and through these two agents the Antichrist (pope) and the false prophet apostate fallen Protestantism, satan gets it but for those whose names are written in the Lambs book of Life, they will not worship anyone other than the True Living God that is found in the Godhead nor will they worship on  any other day other than the one the Creator had blessed and hollowed from the beginning of this earth’s history and in His Commandments that God gave to brother Moses. We have proof in the Written Word of God, where we can read in the book of Exodus 20:11 “For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

You must understand this Protestants, Catholics and anyone searching for truth “It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday.  Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, N.J. “News” of March 18, 1903. You pay homage to the pope and not to the God of Heaven by worshiping on the day of the literal SUN, Sunday. The homage you pay to the True Living God is on His Sabbath Saturday, the seventh day of the week.

The false prophet will have complete control over those whose hearts and minds are not in the right place with God. These searching souls will be lured into the first stumbling block false prophet Protestantism because this entity controls most of the entire world’s religious radio stations and television channels, as many know except for its counterpart, mother Rome. These two entities are working hand in hand to gather the world under false religion and preparing the world to receive the “Mark of the Beast”.

The Protestants for the most part are being deceived and there are still many of our brethren that are stuck in Babylon which is the state of confusion and its Loadicean condition (Revelation 3:14-17 see condition). This is why you have so many different names under Protestantism like Church of Christ, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Methodist, Southern Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and many more.

They all worship and are trained for SUNday. In these last days, Satan could care less what you preach about, as long as you lead the world into worshiping on his manmade Sabbath and believe in trinity which will deny the self existing God the beloved Holy Spirit. Mark 3:29 “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.”

YOU BLASPHEME WITH REJECTION !!!

So with this all said, you can understand how this is the last great conflict in the “Battle of Armageddon” and I will not stop fighting in this battle till Michael stands up and pronounces  “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still,” and nor will I stop until the eastern sky splits and then at that time we will be caught up in the air to meet Jesus the Son of the Living God.

This final conflict in the Battle of Armageddon is all about worship and satan is getting the world to do it through Romanism and Protestantism. These two religious bodies are in union with the governments of the world (ten kingdoms) to push for their soon to be enforced SUNday Worship which is going to be hidden in the New World Order (NWO) agenda.

satan And his Babylonian Structure

By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation [the United States] will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.

Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience. . . .

Papists, Protestants, and worldling will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium.
When our nation [the United States] shall so abjure the principles of its government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with popery; it will be nothing else than giving life to the tyranny which has long been eagerly watching its opportunity to spring again into active despotism.  {Maranatha 190 “The Threefold union”}

Revelation 19:20 “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

Isaiah 49:10-15 They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor the sun shall smite them

Note-[Testimonies for the church vol5.pp.270 -231]-What will false shepherds do?

It was when Christ was about to take leave of His disciples that He gave them the beautiful emblem of His relation to believers. He had been presenting before them the close union with Himself by which they could maintain spiritual life when His visible presence was withdrawn. To impress it upon their minds He gave them the vine as its most striking and appropriate symbol.

The Jews had always regarded the vine as the most noble of plants and a type of all that was powerful, excellent, and fruitful. “The vine,” our Lord would seem to say, “which you prize so highly, is a symbol. I am the reality: I am the True Vine. As a nation you prize the vine; as sinners you should prize Me above all things earthly. The branch cannot live separated from the vine; no more can you live unless you are abiding in Me.”

All Christ’s followers have as deep an interest in this lesson as had the disciples who listened to His words. In the apostasy, man alienated himself from God. The separation is wide and fearful; but Christ has made provision again to connect use with Himself. The power of evil is so identified with human nature that no man can overcome except by union with Christ. Through this union we receive moral and spiritual power. If we have the spirit of Christ we shall bring forth the fruit of righteousness, fruit that will honor and bless men, and glorify God.

The Father is the vinedresser. He skillfully and mercifully prunes every fruit-bearing branch. Those who share Christ’s suffering and reproach now will share His glory hereafter. He “is not ashamed to call them brethren.” His angels minister to them. His second appearing will be as the Son of man, thus even in His glory identifying Himself with humanity. To those who have united themselves to Him, He declares: “Though a mother may forget her child, ‘yet will not I forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands.’ Thou art continually before Me.”

Oh, what amazing privileges are proffered us!

Will we put forth most earnest efforts to form this alliance with Christ, through which alone these blessings are attained? Will we break off our sins by righteousness and our iniquities by turning unto the Lord? Skepticism and infidelity are widespread. Christ asked the question: “When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?” We must cherish a living, active faith. The permanence of our faith is the condition of our union.

A union with Christ by living faith is enduring; every other union must perish. Christ first chose us, paying an infinite price for our redemption; and the true believer chooses Christ as first and last and best in everything.

Ezekiel 34:2-31 Son of man, prophecy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, thus said the Lord. Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that feed themselves

Note-[Testimonies for the church.pp.76-78.]- Many who preach the truth to others are themselves cherishing iniquity. The entreaties of the spirit of God, like divine melody the promises of his word so rich and abundant, it’s threatening against Idolatry and disobedience all powerless to melt the world-hardened heart. Many of our people are lukewarm. They occupy the position of maroz. Neither for nor against neither cold nor hot. They hear the words of Christ, but do them not. If they remain in this state he will reject them with abhorrence. Many of those who have had great light, great opportunities, and every spiritual advantage praise Christ and the world with the same breath. They bow themselves before God and mammon. They make human reason above the revealed wisdom of God.

Will the true shepherd see that the sheep are provided with food?

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves ; and to all the flock, over which the holy ghost hath made you over.

1 timothy 4:16 Take heed unto yourself and unto the doctrine; continue in them for in doing this thou shall both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Ephesians 1:7,14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace

Colossians 1:13-14 Who had delivered us from the power of darkness and had translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son

Hebrews 9:12-14 He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us

1peter1:19-20 The precious blood of Christ, of a lamb without blemish and without spot

Note-[Patriarchs and prophets.pp.166-168.]- – The Shepherd’s life of diligence and caretaking, and his tender compassion for the helpless creatures entrusted to his charge, have been employed by the inspired writers to illustrate some of the most precious truths of the gospel. Christ, in His relation to His people, is compared to a shepherd. After the Fall He saw His sheep doomed to perish in the dark ways of sin. To save these wandering ones He left the honors and glories of His Father’s house. He says, “I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick.” I will “save My flock, and they shall no more be a prey.” “Neither shall the beast of the land devour them.” Ezekiel 34:16, 22, 28. His voice is heard calling them to His fold, “a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.” Isaiah 4:6. His care for the flock is unwearied. He strengthens the weak, relieves the suffering, gathers the lambs in His arms, and carries them in His bosom. His sheep love Him. “And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers.” John 10:5.
Christ says, “The good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth; and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the Good Shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine.” Verses 11-14.
Christ, the Chief Shepherd, has entrusted the care of His flock to His ministers as undershepherds; and He bids them have the same interest that He has manifested, and feel the sacred responsibility of the charge He has entrusted to them. He has solemnly commanded them to be faithful, to feed the flock, to strengthen the weak, to revive the fainting, and to shield them from devouring wolves.
To save His sheep, Christ laid down His own life; and He points His shepherds to the love thus manifested, as their example. But “he that is an hireling, . . . whose own the sheep are not,” has no real interest in the flock. He is laboring merely for gain, and he cares only for himself. He studies his own profit instead of the interest of his charge; and in time of peril or danger he will flee, and leave the flock.
The apostle Peter admonishes the undershepherds: “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.” 1 Peter 5:2, 3. Paul says, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood. For I know this that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.” Acts 20:28, 29.
All who regard as an unwelcome task the care and burdens that fall to the lot of the faithful shepherd, are reproved by the apostle: “Not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.” 1 Peter 5:2. All such unfaithful servants the Chief Shepherd would willingly release. The church of Christ has been purchased with His blood, and every shepherd should realize that the sheep under his care cost an infinite sacrifice. He should regard them each as of priceless worth, and should be unwearied in his efforts to keep them in a healthy, flourishing condition. The shepherd who is imbued with the spirit of Christ will imitate His self-denying example, constantly laboring for the welfare of his charge; and the flock will prosper under his care.

With what kind of food will he feed the flock?

2 Timothy 4:1-2 Who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season rebuke, exhort

1 Timothy 5:21 I change thee before God, and Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality

Acts 10:42-43 He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of quick and the dead

1 Timothy5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear

Galatians 2:11-14 When Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed

Deuteronomy 13:11-15 All Israel shall hear and fear, and shall do no more such wickedness as this is among you

1Timothy4:13 Till I come; give attendance to reading, to exhortation to doctrine.

Note-[Testimonies for the church.pp.358-360 vol3.]- Thosewhom God has set apart as ministers of righteousness have solemn responsibilities laid upon them to reprove the sins of the people. Paul commanded Titus: “These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.” There are ever those who will despise the one who dares to reprove sin; but there are times when reproof must be given. Paul directs Titus to rebuke a certain class sharply, that they may be sound in the faith. Men and women who, with their different organizations, are brought together in church capacity have peculiarities and faults. As these are developed, they will require reproof. If those who are placed in important positions never reproved, never rebuked, there would soon be a demoralized condition of things that would greatly dishonor God. But how shall the reproof be given? Let the apostle answer: “With all long-suffering and doctrine.” Principle should be brought to bear upon the one who needs reproof, but never should the wrongs of God’s people be passed by indifferently.
There will be men and women who despise reproof and whose feelings will ever rise up against it. It is not pleasant to be told of our wrongs. In almost every case where reproof is necessary, there will be some who entirely overlook the fact that the Spirit of the Lord has been grieved and His cause reproached. These will pity those who deserved reproof, because personal feelings have been hurt. All this unsanctified sympathy places the sympathizers where they are sharers in the guilt of the one reproved. In nine cases out of ten if the one reproved had been left under a sense of his wrongs, he might have been helped to see them and thereby have been reformed. But meddlesome, unsanctified sympathizers place altogether a wrong construction upon the motives of the reprover and the nature of the reproof given, and by sympathizing with the one reproved lead him to feel that he has been really abused; and his feelings rise up in rebellion against the one who has only done his duty. Those who faithfully discharge their unpleasant duties under a sense of their accountability to God will receive His blessing. God requires His servants to be always in earnest to do His will. In the apostle’s
charge to Timothy he exhorts him to “preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.”

The Hebrews were not willing to submit to the directions and restrictions of the Lord. They simply wanted their own way, to follow the leadings of their own mind, and be controlled by their own judgment. Could they have been left free to do this, no complaints would have been made of Moses; but they were restless under restraint.

Will the true shepherd set a good example to the flock?

Titus2:6-15 (7) In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works in doctrine showing incorruptness’, gravity, sincerity, sound speech

1Timothy4:12 let no man despise thy youth, be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit in faith in purity

Will he warn the sheep of coming danger?

Ezekiel 33:7-9 O Son of man, I have set thee a watchman’s unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them

Ezekiel3:17-20 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, give them warning

Isaiah 62:6-7 I have set watchman upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night:

Jeremiah 6:17-19 Also I set watchman over you, saying, hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, we will not hearken

Note-[Testimonies for the church vol 4.pp.402-403.]-The watchmen anciently placed upon the walls of Jerusalem and other cities occupied a most responsible position. Upon their faithfulness depended the safety of all within those cities. When danger was apprehended, they were not to keep silent day nor night. Every few moments they were required to call to one another to see if all were awake and no harm had come to any. Sentinels were stationed upon some eminence overlooking the important posts to be guarded, and the cry of warning or of good cheer was sounded from them. This was borne from one to another, each repeating the words, till it went the entire rounds of the city.
These watchmen represent the ministry, upon whose fidelity
depends the salvation of souls. The stewards of the mysteries of God should stand as watchmen upon the walls of Zion; and if they see the sword coming, they should sound the note of warning. If they are sleepy sentinels, and their spiritual senses are so benumbed that they see and realize no danger, and the people perish, God will require their blood at the watchmen’s hands.

“O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at My mouth, and warn them from Me.” The watchmen will need to live very near to God, to hear His word and be impressed with His Spirit that the people may not look to them in vain. “When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” Ambassadors of Christ should take heed that they do not, through their unfaithfulness, lose their own souls and the souls of those who hear them.
I was shown the churches in different states that profess to be keeping the commandments of God and looking for the second coming of Christ. There is an alarming amount of indifference, pride, love of the world, and cold formality existing among them. And these are the people who are fast coming to resemble ancient Israel, so far as the want of piety is concerned. Many make high claims to godliness and yet are destitute of self-control. Appetite and passion bear sway; self is made prominent. Many are arbitrary, dictatorial, overbearing, boastful, proud, and unconsecrated. Yet some of these persons are ministers, handling sacred truths. Unless they repent, their candlestick will be removed out of its place. The Saviour’s curse pronounced upon the fruitless fig tree is a sermon to all formalists and boasting hypocrites who stand forth to the world in pretentious leaves, but are devoid of fruit. What a rebuke to those who have a form of godliness, while in their unchristian lives they deny the power thereof! He who treated with tenderness the very chief of sinners, He who never spurned true meekness and penitence, however great the guilt, came down with scathing denunciations upon those who made high professions of godliness, but in works denied their faith.

Who does our Saviour call a false shepherd?

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Isaiah9:16 The leaders of this people cause them err; and they that are led of them are destroyed

Isaiah3:12-16 O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err and destroy the way of the paths

Malachi 2:8-9 Ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law: ye have corrupted the covenant

Matthew 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say; whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing

Matthew 5:33-37 Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the  Lord thine oaths:

Luke6:39 He spake a parables unto them, can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Note-[Desire of Ages pg 379-398.]-  “Ye hypocrites,” He said, addressing the wily spies, “well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoreth Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” The words of Christ were an arraignment of the whole system of Pharisaism. He declared that by placing their requirements above the divine precepts the rabbis were setting themselves above God.
The deputies from Jerusalem were filled with rage. They could not accuse Christ as a violator of the law given from Sinai, for He spoke as its defender against their traditions. The great precepts of the law, which He had presented, appeared in striking contrast to the petty rules that men had devised.
To the multitude, and afterward more fully to His disciples, Jesus explained that defilement comes not from without, but from within. Purity and impurity pertain to the soul. It is the evil deed, the evil word, the evil thought, the transgression of the law of God, not the neglect of external, man-made ceremonies that defiles a man.
The disciples noted the rage of the spies as their false teaching was exposed. They saw the angry looks, and heard the half-muttered words of dissatisfaction and revenge. Forgetting how often Christ had given evidence that He read the heart as an open book, they told Him of the effect of His words. Hoping that He might conciliate the enraged officials, they said to Jesus, “Knowest Thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?”
He answered, “Every plant, which My heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” The customs and traditions so highly valued by the rabbis were of this world, not from heaven. However great their authority with the people, they could not endure the testing of God. Every human invention that has been substituted for the commandments of God will be found worthless in that day when “God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Eccl. 12:14.
The substitution of the precepts of men for the commandments of God has not ceased. Even among Christians are found institutions and usages that have no better foundation than the traditions of the fathers. Such institutions, resting upon mere human authority, have supplanted those of divine appointment. Men cling to their traditions, and revere their customs, and cherish hatred against those who seek to show them their error. In this day, when we are bidden to call attention to the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, we see the same enmity as was manifested in the days of Christ. Of the remnant people of God it is written, “The dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev. 12:17.
But “every plant, which My heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” In place of the authority of the so-called fathers of the church, God bids us accept the word of the eternal Father, the Lord of heaven and earth. Here alone is truth unmixed with error. David said, “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for Thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Thy precepts.” Ps. 119:99, 100. Let all who accept human authority, the customs of the church, or the traditions of the fathers, take heed to the warning conveyed in the words of Christ, “In vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Has the Lord given us another means by which to distinguish between the true and false shepherd?

Isaiah 8:20 To the Law and to the testimony; if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them

Luke16:29-31 Abraham saith unto him they have Moses and the prophets; let hear them

John5:39,44-47 Search the scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life

Acts 15:21 Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him being read in synagogues every Sabbath day

Micah 3;6-12 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall  have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine and the sun shall go down over the prophets

Ezekiel13:22-23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand:

Zechariah 13:4-9 The prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision when he hath prophesied; neither shall thy wear a rough garment to deceive

Malachi 2:6-9 The priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the Law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts

Deuteronomy 17:8-10 If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites and unto the judge

Leviticus 10:11 Ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them

Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments

Jeremiah 18:18-23 Come and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the Law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise

Note-[selected messages pp.98-99.vol3 Tested by “The Law and the Testimony”

In these days of delusion everyone who is established in the truth will have to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. Every variety of error will be brought out in the mysterious working of Satan, which would, if it were possible, deceive the very elect, and turn them from the truth. There will be human wisdom to meet–the wisdom of learned men, who, as were the Pharisees, are teachers of the law of God, but do not obey the law themselves. There will be human ignorance and folly to meet in disconnected theories arrayed in new and fantastic dress– theories that it will be all the more difficult to meet because there is no reason in them.
There will be false dreams and false visions, which have some truth, but lead away from the original faith. The Lord has given men a rule by which to detect them: “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isa. 8: 20). If they belittle the law of God, if they pay no heed to His will as revealed in the testimonies of His Spirit, they are deceivers. They are controlled by impulse and impressions, which they believe to be from the Holy Spirit, and consider more reliable than the Inspired Word. They claim that every thought and feeling is an impression of the Spirit; and when they are reasoned with out of the Scriptures, they declare that they have something more reliable. But while they think that they are led by the Spirit of God, they are in reality following an imagination wrought upon by Satan.–Bible Echo, September, 1886.
Tested “By their Fruits”

In these days of peril we are not to accept everything that men bring to us as truth. As professed teachers from God come to us declaring that they have a message from God, it is proper to inquire carefully, How do we know that this is truth? Jesus has told us that “false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many” (Matt. 24:11). But we need not be deceived; for the Word of God gives us a test whereby we may know what is truth. The prophet says, “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isa. 8:20).
From this statement it is evident that it becomes us to be diligent Bible students that we may know what is according to the law and the testimony. We are safe in no other course of action. Jesus says, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire” (Matt. 7:15-19).

Will the unfaithful shepherds give to the flock the significance and meaning of those prophecies relating to “the time of the end?

Isaiah 29:11 The vision of all is became unto as the words of a book that is sealed which men deliver to one that is learned, saying read this, I pray thee and he saith I cannot ; for it is sealed

Daniel 12:4,8-9 O Daniel shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end

Daniel 8:26 The vision of the evening and morning which was told is true wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days

Revelation 10:4  And when the seven thunder had uttered their voice, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, seal up these thing

Note-[selected messages vol 3,pp.50-51.; Every one of us will be sorely tempted, our faith will be tried to the uttermost. We must have a living connection with God; we must be partakers of the divine nature; then we shall not be deceived by the devices of the enemy, and shall escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.
We need to be anchored in Christ, rooted and grounded in the faith. Satan works through agents. He selects those who have not been drinking of the living waters, whose souls are athirst for something new and strange, and who are ever ready to drink at any fountain that may present itself. Voices will be heard, saying, “Lo, here is Christ,” or “Lo, there”; but we must believe them not. We have unmistakable evidence of the voice of the True Shepherd, and He is calling upon us to follow Him. He says, “I have kept my Father’s commandments.” He leads His sheep in the path of humble obedience to the law of God, but He never encourages them in the transgression of that law.
“The voice of a stranger” is the voice of one who neither respects nor obeys God’s holy, just, and good law. Many make great pretensions to holiness, and boast of the wonders they perform in healing the sick, when they do not regard this great standard of righteousness. But through whose power are these cures wrought? Are the eyes of either party opened to their transgressions of the law? and do they take their stand as humble, obedient children, ready to obey all of God’s requirements? John testifies of the professed children of God: “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him” (1 John 2:4).
None need be deceived. The law of God is as sacred as His throne, and by it every man who cometh into the world is to be judged. There is no other standard by which to test character. “If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Now, shall the case be decided according to the Word of God, or shall man’s pretensions be credited? Christ says, “By their fruits ye shall know them.” If those through whom cures are performed, are disposed, on account of these manifestations, to excuse their neglect of the law of God, and continue in disobedience, though they have power to any and every extent, it does not follow that they have the great power of God. On the contrary, it is the miracle-working power of the great deceiver. He is a transgressor of the moral law, and employs every device that he can master to blind men to its true character. We are warned that in the last days he will work with signs and lying wonders. And he will continue these wonders until the close of probation, that he may point to them as evidence that he is an angel of light and not of darkness.
Brethren, we must beware of the pretended holiness that permits transgression of the law of God. Those cannot be sanctified who trample that law under their feet, and judge themselves by a standardof their own devising.

Was there to come a time when people would not listen to Bible Truth?

2 Timothy 4:3-4 The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts, they shall turn away their ears

1 Timothy 1:9-10 The Law is not made for a righteous man, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine

1Timothy 1:4 Neither give head to fables and endless genealogies which ministers questions, rather than Godly edifying which is in faith so do

2Timothy 2:14-15, 18 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth

2Timothy 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strife.

Note-[great controversy .pp.594-595] When God sends to men warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven, he requires every person endowed with reasoning powers to heed the message. The fearful judgments denounced against the worship of the beast and his image, [REV. 14:9-11.] should lead all to a diligent study of the prophecies to learn what the mark of the beast is, and how they are to avoid receiving it. But the masses of the people turn away their ears from hearing the truth, and are turned unto fables. The apostle Paul declared, looking down to the last days, “The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.” [2 TIM. 4:3.] That time has fully come. The multitudes do not want Bible truth, because it interferes with the desires of the sinful, world-loving heart; and Satan supplies the deceptions which they love.
But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines, and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority,– not one or all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord” in its support.
Satan is constantly endeavoring to attract attention to man in the place of God. He leads the people to look to bishops, to pastors, to professors of theology, as their guides, instead of searching the Scriptures to learn their duty for themselves. Then, by controlling the minds of these leaders, he can influence the multitudes according to his will.
When Christ came to speak the words of life, the common people heard him gladly; and many, even of the priests and rulers, believed on him. But the chief of the priesthood and the leading men of the nation were determined to condemn and repudiate his teachings. Though they were baffled in all their efforts to find accusations against him, though they could not but feel the influence of the divine power and wisdom attending his words, yet they encased themselves in prejudice; they rejected the clearest evidence of his Messiahship, lest they should be forced to become his disciples. These opponents of Jesus were men whom the people had been taught from infancy to reverence, to whose authority they had been accustomed implicitly to bow. “How is it,” they asked, “that our rulers and learned scribes do not believe on Jesus? Would not these pious men receive him if he were the Christ?” It was the influence of such teachers that led the Jewish nation to reject their Redeemer.

Will such like to have plain words spoken to them?

Isaiah30:10-15 rebellious people, lying children hear no the Law, which say to the seers see not; and to the prophets prophecy not unto us right thing, speak unto us smooth things prophesy deceit

Jeremiah11:21 Thus saith the Lord of the men of Anathoth that seek  thy life; saying, prophecy not in the name of the Lord, that thou die not by our hand

Amos 2:12-16 (v12) Ye give the Nazarites wine to drink and command the prophets, saying prophesy not

Jeremiah 12:3-5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee then how canst thou contend with horses

Micah 2:6-11 prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

What does the Lord further say concerning false shepherd?

Jeremiah50:6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains, they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place

Ezekiel 34:2,3 Son of man prophesy against the shepherd of Israel prophesy and say unto them, thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherd: woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! Shall not the shepherd feed the flock? ye eat the fat and ye clothe you with the wool: ye kill them that are fed. But ye feed not the flock,”

Ezekiel 34:8-12 “ As I live, saith the Lord God, surely because my flock became a prey and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherd fed themselves, and fed not my flock: therefore, o ye shepherd, hear the word of the lord; thus saith the Lord God: behold, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out, as a shepherd seeketh out his flock in day that he is among is sheep that are scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they had been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.”

Note-[Great controversy .pp.576-597.]- The spirit which actuated those priests and rulers is still manifested by many who make a high profession of piety. They refuse to examine the testimony of the Scriptures concerning the special truths for this time. They point to their own numbers, wealth, and popularity, and look with contempt upon the advocates of truth as few, poor, and unpopular having a faith that separates them from the world.
Christ foresaw that the undue assumption of authority indulged by the scribes and Pharisees would not cease with the dispersion of the Jews. He had a prophetic view of the work of exalting human authority to rule the conscience, which has been so terrible a curse to the church in all ages. And his fearful denunciations of the scribes and Pharisees, and his warnings to the people not to follow these blind leaders, were placed on record as an admonition to future generations.
The Romish Church reserves to the clergy the right to interpret the Scriptures. On the ground that ecclesiastics alone are competent to explain God’s Word, it is withheld from the common people. Though the Reformation gave the Scriptures to all, yet the self-same principle which was maintained by Rome prevents multitudes in Protestant churches from searching the Bible for themselves. They are taught to accept its teachings as interpreted by the church; and there are thousands who dare receive nothing, however plainly revealed in Scripture, that is contrary to their creed, or the established teaching of their church.
Notwithstanding the Bible is full of warnings against false teachers, many are ready thus to commit the keeping of their souls to the clergy. There are today thousands of professors of religion who can give no other reason for points of faith which they hold than that they were so instructed by their religious leaders. They pass by the Saviour’s teachings almost unnoticed, and place implicit confidence in the words of the ministers. But are ministers infallible? How can we trust our souls to their guidance unless we know from God’s Word that they are light-bearers? A lack of moral courage to step aside from the beaten track of the world, leads many to follow in the steps of learned men; and by their reluctance to investigate for themselves, they are becoming hopelessly fastened in the chains of error. They see that the truth for this time is plainly brought to view in the Bible, and they feel the power of the Holy Spirit attending its proclamation; yet they allow the opposition of the clergy to turn them from the light. Though reason and conscience are convinced, these deluded souls dare not think differently from the minister; and their individual judgment, their eternal interests, are sacrificed to the unbelief, the pride and prejudice, of another.

What is to be the future of those who” add unto” or take away from” the words of the book of this prophecy?

Revelation 22:18-19 If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book, and if any man shall take away from the word of the this prophecy, god shall take away his part out of the book of life

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you neither shall ye diminish ought from it. That ye may keep the Commandments of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 12:32 Whatsoever I command you, observe to do it; thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it

Joshua 1:7-8 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the Law

Ecclesiastes 13:12-13 Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man

Proverb 30:5-6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar

Psalm 12:6-8 The words of the Lord are pure words as silver tried in the furnace of the earth, thou shalt preserve them from generations for ever

Psalm 19:7-9 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure enlightening the eyes

Psalm18:30 His way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried, he is a buckler to all those that trust in him

Psalm 115:9-11 O Israel trust thou in the Lord: he is their help their shield

Exodus 32:33 The Lord said unto Moses whosoever hat sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book

Note-[Great controversy.pp.267-268.   In the darkest times  there were faithful men who loved God’s Word, and were jealous for his honor. To these loyal servants were given wisdom, power, and authority to declare his truth during the whole of this time.   “And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies; and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.” [REV. 11:5.] Men cannot with impunity trample upon the Word of God. The meaning of this fearful denunciation is set forth in the closing chapter of the Revelation: “I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” [REV 22:18,19.]
Such are the warnings which God has given to guard men against changing in any manner that which he has revealed or commanded. These solemn denunciations apply to all who by their influence lead men to lightly regard the law of God. They should cause those to fear and tremble who flippantly declare it a matter of little consequence whether we obey God’s law or not. All who exalt their own opinions above divine revelation, all who would change the plain meaning of Scripture to suit their own convenience, or for the sake of conforming to the world, are taking upon themselves a fearful responsibility. The written Word, the law of God, will measure the character of every man, and condemn all whom this unerring test shall declare wanting.

What promise has Peter left on record for faithful shepherds?

1peter5:4 When the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away

Hebrews 13:20-24 The God of peace, which brought again from dead, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant

1Corinthains9:24-27 Every man that striving for the mastery is temperate in all thing, now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible

James 1:12 When he is tried he will receive a crown of life

Note- [patriarchs and prophets.pp.165.] All who regard as an unwelcome task the care and burdens that fall to the lot of the faithful shepherd, are reproved by the apostle: “Not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.” 1 Peter 5:2.
All will be called to render a strict account of their ministry. The Master will demand of every shepherd, “Where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?” Jeremiah 13:20. He that is found faithful, will receive a rich reward. “When the Chief Shepherd shall appear,” says the apostle, “ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” 1 Peter 5:4.
